This Christmas, joy is rolling into the Cape Fear area one bike at a time. 🚲✨

Kindness is in motion across the Cape Fear area thanks to WECT and the Weller’s Wheels campaign, bringing brand-new bicycles to children through The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program. Each year, The Salvation Army works to make sure every child in need experiences the joy and dignity of Christmas. Through the Angel Tree program, families receive toys, clothing, and gifts that match their children’s wishes and for many kids, that wish is simple: a bicycle.
That’s where WECT’s Weller’s Wheels and their sponsor, Edwards Denture & Implants, come in. This community-driven campaign collects donations to purchase bikes for local children who might otherwise go without. The program has grown year after year, uniting generous viewers, sponsors, and volunteers in the shared mission to give every child the joy of their very own set of wheels.
“A bicycle represents freedom and fun, but it’s also a symbol of hope,” said Major Connie Morris, Corps Officer. "Through WECT’s Weller’s Wheels, our community helps make those dreams come true.”
Together, WECT, The Salvation Army, Edwards Dentures & Implants and countless caring neighbors are keeping the spirit of giving alive one pedal at a time.
